Cara Graham, 81, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Aperion Care in Marseilles.Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columba Church. Burial will take place at a later date. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.Cara was born July 31, 1942, in Spring Valley, IL, to Stanley and Nina (Carrier) Wawerski. She married Richard Graham at St. Joseph Church in Marseilles. He passed away on November 8th, 2020.She worked for many years as the Fall Ridge and Grand Rapids Tax assessor. She also worked her entire life as a farm wife and as a homemaker for her husband and four children. She enjoyed collecting Longaberger baskets and Mary Moo Moo Cows. She loved her grandchildren and always attended her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She had a love for gardening and always had beautiful flowers.She is survived by her children, Richard (late Roxine) Graham, Jr. of Ottawa; Shelly Hillaker of FL, Rhonda (Wayne) Christensen of Ottawa, and Samantha (Brad) Haage of Ottawa; ten grandchildren, Taylor and Richard Graham III, Skylar (Kathryn) Hillaker, Hannah (Chris) Jesse, Travis Hillaker, Daniel and Kaitlynn Christensen, and Emma, Riley, and Owen Haage; and her six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Paxton, Asher, Rebecca, Henry, and Mastin.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Richard Graham; her daughter-in-law, Roxine Graham; and her siblings, Jim, Bill, Bob, and Stanley Wawerski.Memorials may be directed to the family to make memorial contributions in her honor.The online guest book may be viewed and remembrances shared at www.ottawafuneralhome.comOttawa Funeral Home & Crematory1111 LaSalle St, Ottawa Illinois 61350815-433-0300www.ottawafuneralhome.com
