The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team and Streator police seized 290 grams of cocaine plus the relaxant Xanax (Zanax) along with about 10,000 in cash and two firearms on Tuesday. 52-year-old Abelino Perez-Villasenor, 24-year-old Avelino Perez Jr and 21-year-old Daniel Perez, all of Streator were arrested.
Perez-Villasenor is being charged with 3 class X felonies for the drugs and unlawful possession of a gun. Avelino Perez Jr. is also looking at 3 class X felonies for the drugs. Daniel Perez may see the light of day sometime sooner, he was arrested on one class X felony for dealing drugs. He and Perez-Villasenor had a gun but no FOID card.
The arrests took place in South Streator.
