Mayor Jim Hollenbeck reminded everyone about the city’s annual Fall Clean-up Days at this week’s council meeting.
“As we do every year, residents with proof they live in Marseilles can drop off items at the city garage this Thursday (10-19) and Friday (10-20) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday (10-21) from 8 a.m. to noon. Just a reminder that no yard waste will be accepted.”
Trash containers will be available at the Marseilles City Garage, 880 Commercial St. (just west of that building). City employees will accept large appliances with doors removed before drop-off. City employees will organize all drop-offs. There is a limit of two utility trailers per household.
Brush, tree limbs, garbage, paint, tires, electronic items, or chemicals that pose public health hazards will NOT be accepted.
