Dennis P. Pellegrine, 72 of Streator passed away Saturday evening (August 12, 2023) at Arcadia Care, Streator.
Following cremation, a visitation will be held Sunday (Aug. 27th) from 1 – 2 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date with military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Dennis was born on September 11, 1950, in Ottawa to Harold and Dorothy (Giza) Pellegrine.
Surviving are children, Douglas (Amanda) Smith of Ottawa and Brady (Tracy) Smith of Tennessee, grandchildren, Ashley, Deana, Dougie, Brady Jr., Cody, and Ben, 4 great-grandchildren, brothers, Gary (Susan) Pellegrine of Tennessee and David (Cricket) Pellegrine of Montgomery, nieces, Caitlin Pellegrine, Amy (Kyle) Cordes, Emily Hall and Stephanie Schuster, nephew Jacob Pellegrine and his former daughter in law Jennifer McCormick.
He is preceded in death by his parents, great-grandson Douglas Smith III, brother Lawrence in infancy, sister Darlene Hall and his former spouse Carol Pellegrine.
Dennis attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1969. He served in the US Army. Dennis bartended at the Monroe Tap for football Sundays.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Program.
