The two people accused of trying to steal money from a First Federal Savings Bank ATM in LaSalle are pleading not guilty. 41-year old Richard Young of LaSalle and 28-year old Marisa Melendez will be back in court in September. Prosecutors say Young was trying to get the money because he needed it. Melendez was allegedly looking out to make sure no one saw. LaSalle Police caught the alleged offenders when they found the ATM damaged with hammers and pry bars around it last month. Melendez is out of jail on bond. Young is still in the LaSalle County Jail with a $100,000 bond.
