An Ottawa woman is pleading not guilty to first-degree murder. 21-year old Chastity Furar is accused of driving her boyfriend Nicolaus Phillips to the home of 42-year old Eric Clements on Marcy St. on Ottawa’s south side. Phillips then allegedly shot and killed Clements outside his home. Although she didn’t pull the trigger, prosecutors says she bought the gun that Phillips used to kill Clements. Clements was apparently sending messages to Furar which made Phillips jealous. Furar will be back in court on September 11th. She faces up to 75 years in prison.
