An Ottawa man is accused of firing a gun in LaSalle during an altercation. LaSalle Police Sgt. Brian Camenisch says police were called to the intersection of 7th and Crosat Streets in November last year after a gunshot was fired. After an investigation by police, the LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office put out a warrant for 32-year old Justin W. Waterworth. Ottawa Police arrested Waterworth Monday afternoon and took him to the LaSalle County Jail. He’s charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. LaSalle Police say he was on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections at the time of the shooting. His bond has been set at $100,000.
