A Minooka man has now been accused of attempted murder after a shooting last Saturday on Morris’s east side. 18-year old Maxwell Williams had his initial court appearance Monday. He allegedly shot a woman in the head while she was in her car in the 5500 block of Sand Ridge Road. The 35-year old woman will make a full recovery after she had surgery, although she is in critical condition at Loyola Medical Center. Grundy County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Sand Ridge Rd. because of an underage drinking party. After a deputy went back to check to make sure everyone had left, they found the woman shot and later arrested Williams after an investigation. He remains in the Grundy County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He’ll be back in court in August. You can find the original story about the incident by clicking here.
