The Spring Valley man accused of shooting and killing an Ottawa man is still looking for a private attorney. 24-year old Nicolaus Phillips will be back in court on July 20th with an update for Judge H. Chris Ryan. 42-year old Eric Clements died in his garage after Phillips allegedly shot him because he was exchanging messages with Phillip’s girlfriend Chastity Furar. She’s due in court this Thursday. She’s also been charged with first-degree murder, although she didn’t pull the trigger. She is accused of driving Phillips to Clements’s home on Marcy St. last month.
