The Ottawa Canal Association is hosting the first-ever Ottawa Canal Days. It’s part of the 175th anniversary of the I&M Canal but also celebrates things associated with it. Canal Association Pres. Arnie Bandstra says there will be activities at the I&M Toll House, Reddick Mansion, and the Ottawa Historical and Scouting Heritage Museum. You’ll be able to tour the mansion by yourself and can race little paddleboats that are made at the museum. He says one thing he’s excited about is actors portraying French explorers at the canal.

St. Columba Pastor Nicolaus Wilson will also dress up as Father Jacques Marquette. The event is Saturday from 9am to 5pm. But some events are between certain times at the Reddick Mansion.
