Temporary parking restrictions for the July 3rd fireworks in Peru will go into effect at 5 p.m. on July 3rd.
There is no parking across from the old electric plant near the firework family area.
Traffic is not allowed on Water St. between Putnam and Plain Streets on the day of the event. Barricades will be posted at the intersections of Water and Plain Streets and Putnam and Plain Streets beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Vehicles that violate these restrictions will be ticketed and towed until after the firework show.
Individuals who destroy, deface or remove temporary parking signs will be prosecuted.
Restrictions:
- 1st St.: Putnam St. west to Calhoun St. No parking on south side
- 1st St.: Putnam St. east to West St. No parking on north side
- 2nd St.: Putnam St. west to Calhoun St. No parking on south side
- 2nd St.: West St. to Schuler St. No parking on north side
- 3rd St.: Putnam St west to Schuyler St. No parking on north side
- 3rd St.: Schuyler St. west to Calhoun St. No parking on south side
- Bluff St.: West St. east to Rock St. No parking on north side
- Brewster St.: 1700 block to 1900 block No parking either side
- Calhoun St.: State St. to 4th St. No parking either side
- Center St.: Plain St. west to West St. No parking either side
- Fulton St.: State St. north to 4th St. No parking on west side
- Grant St.: First St. north to 4th St. No parking on west side
- Main St.: Peoria St. east to dead end No parking on south side
- Main St.: Peoria St. to Calhoun St. No parking north side
- Main St.: Pike St. west to Church St. No parking on south side
- Market St.: Pike St. west to Calhoun St. No parking on south side
