Wildfire smoke from Canada has caused the National Weather Service to put out an Air Quality Alert. According to AirNow.gov, the air quality index in and around LaSalle County in considered unhealthy to breath. If you have asthma or some kind of respiratory disease should not be outside for long periods of time and should avoid strenuous activities. The National Weather Service says the alert will remain in effect until Wednesday until midnight.You can find out more information at AirNow.gov.
