It’s the 51st year of Fun Days in Marseilles. The event runs from July 5th through the 9th. Deputy City Clerk Catherine Strottner says it starts at 5pm Wednesday with a ribbon cutting at the new Marseilles Boat Launch and the Ducky Derby following at 7pm. She says now is the time for people to get their wristbands for the carnival that runs Thursday through Saturday. The wrist bands allow people to get into the carinval. But one new activity this year involves bounce houses and foam.
Strottner says while organizers try to find new activities every year, there are plenty of annual traditions going on.
On Saturday and Sunday, there will be concerts, food, and adult beverages around the carnival.* You can find a full schedule of events on the City of Marseilles website.
