Carus and the City of LaSalle to create a community task force

Carus and the City of LaSalle have come together to create a community emergency response task force. The task force will include local officials, community members and Carus employees who will develop a community emergency response plan.

“We’re happy to collaborate with the City of LaSalle and community members to develop a community emergency response plan that reassures our neighbors, and the greater LaSalle community, of how to react to any emergency event in the community,” VP of Innovation, Technology and Environmental Health and Safety at Carus Rich Landtiser said.

This effort comes in response to community members expressing concern for the lack of a sufficient emergency response plan and not knowing Carus’ emergency response plan at a town hall meeting on May 10. The community is looking for a notification system that notifies residents in multiple ways and gives instructions on what to do in the face of an emergency.
