The LaSalle County Health Department reports that one person has died from COVID-19 for the first time in over a month. There have now been 518 deaths from coronavirus in the county so far. Another death was reported during the second week of June. The health department has reported 150 new cases over the past six weeks. There were only eight cases this week. 37,616 cases have been reported in the county so far. The health department continues to track COVID-19 after the Centers for Disease Control ended the Public Health Emergency for the virus last month.
