A man was charged with multiple felonies and a misdemeanor last night after a hit-and-run outside Guaranteed Rate Field. 20-year-old Condelarious Garcia was charged with four felony counts of failure to report an accident with injury, four counts of aggravated reckless driving causing bodily harm and one misdemeanor count of driving on a suspended license.
Four pedestrians were hit by a silver sedan outside of Guaranteed Rate Field before the White Sox game Tuesday night. The fans were crossing the street to enter the game when they were hit by the vehicle.
One victim, Charles Janczy, was hit by the driver’s car and landed in the vehicle’s open sunroof. The car continued speeding from 35th St. until it crashed near 45th St. with Janczy still in the vehicle.
The three other victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
