St. Rep. Jed Davis wants to answer questions from constituents through a video series he’s created called Springfield in 90 seconds. It’s a weekly series that will address topics like committee assignments, do lawmakers in Springfield actually read legislation before voting, and what Madigan-era tactics are still around. The Newark Republican says Illinois’ government is broken, and Democrats have a heavy hand in it. In his second video, he talked about how there is no balance in Springfield and specifically brought up how he says the state budget was passed.
He finished by saying there is a far-left branch of the state government that will primary against someone who doesn’t vote their way.
