The city of Marseilles could approve its budget Wednesday. The city council placed on filed at their previous meeting earlier this month. Commissioner Bobby Kaminski says the budget is balanced and the city went through every department to see if anything else needs to be purchased. He says property values also went up last year, which is why the city has more revenue this year. But, the money will go toward construction projects like redoing roads and removing sewer lines that need replacing. There is a little less than $3,600,000 in the city’s general fund, which is about $400,000 more than last year.
