The value of St. Margaret’s Health Peru is about $38 million. That’s according to the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board which is looking at the application from OSF Healthcare to purchase the former Illinois Valley Community Hospital. The application consideration by the State Board is set for August 15th. The exemption application, otherwise known as the change of ownership application, was called substantially complete on Wednesday. If the purchase of the 49-bed SMH Peru is approved, it will become a second campus of Ottawa’s St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
