Before an Ottawa woman is arraigned on first-degree murder charges, she’s going to be mentally evaluated. 21-year old Chastity Furar is accused of driving 24-year old Nicolaus Phillips to the home of 42-year old Eric Clements earlier this month. Clements and Furar had apparently been exchanging messages and Phillips wasn’t happy. He would later allegedly shoot and kill Clements at his home on Marcy St. Judge Cynthia Raccugila approved the mental fitness exam and set Furar’s next court date for July 14th. Phillips is scheduled to be back in court next week.
