A one-year old black lab is now a part of the Ottawa Police Department. Muskie was sworn in by Ottawa Mayor Robb Hasty earlier this week at the city council meeting. He’ll be the department’s next drug-sniffing dog. Police Chief Brent Roalson says Muskie will work with Officer Brandon Anderson. She’s replacing Gussy, a retired police dog who died in August last year.
