North Central Area Transit, or NCAT, celebrated the completion of their new covered garage on Chessie Lane in Ottawa with a ribbon cutting Monday.
The project began back in February of 2022 and was officially opened Monday. With the garage finished, NCAT is now completely centralized, with all office buildings and vehicles in one place.
Transit Director Kim Zimmerman says this centralization will bring many improvements to the company.
Office Manager Assistant Denny Bute says the garage is a great addition to NCAT.
In the future, the company hopes to add a vehicle wash bay and a maintenance bay to their compound, according to Zimmerman.
