Ottawa Economic Development Director Dave Noble is this year’s winner of the 2023 Leo Parkerson Award. He was given the lifetime achievement award during last night’s Ottawa Area Chamber dinner at Starved Rock Lodge. Although he says it does feel like he’s been here a lifetime. He came to Ottawa in 2004 and first worked as the city’s engineer before changing jobs in 2019. Noble says one of the biggest things he’s accomplished is helping the city during the pandemic.
He also says the economic development isn’t about him, but the businesses that make it happen.
IVCC Board Trustee Angie Stevenson was the winner of the Ottawa Chambers Chairman Award.
Open Spaces Art Gallery Owner Amanda Weygand won the Ethyl Strong Ambassador of the Year Award.
