Illinois Valley Community College is replacing the hardware on its computers. The College’s Board of Trustees approved spending $385,000 from the college’s information technology budget last Thursday. The college is upgrading lab and staff computers as a part of a four-year refresh cycle. IT Director Justin Denton says over 340 laptops were four years old and desktops were over seven years old. Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund money, which is federal COVID relief funds, was also used to renew a program the college uses called Colleague.
