LaSalle County is getting a $75,000 grant to market tourism. Heritage Corridor Destinations Executive Director Bob Navarro says the grant hasn’t been given out in three years.
He also told the LaSalle County Board Thursday that visitors spent $275 million in the county in 2021. He expects that number to go up this year.
A good chunk of the money is spent at Starved Rock State Park. Over 2.5 million people are visiting the park.
