There is one new member on the Ottawa High School Board. Shawn Collins was sworn in yesterday afternoon at a special meeting. He says he ran for the board because he wanted to give back to his community in a way that he knows. He’s the current principal at Marseilles Elementary School. He first wants to learn the objectives of the board.
Incumbent Board Members Sarah Shumway and John Levy were also sworn in on Monday. Don Harris was picked to remain the president of the board and George Shanley will remain the vice-president.
OHS board members standing are being sworn in for the next four years.
