The LaSalle County Highway Department is closing two roads for construction. County Highway 18 or N. 31st Rd in Dayton Township will be closed Monday for culvert replacement. The project is about one and a half miles east of IL 23 and should be done by July. Sandy Cosgrove Rd. or N. 2550th Rd in the Peru Township will be closed Monday for the construction of a soldier pile wall and slope stabilization. That project is a mile southwest of IL 251 and should be done by this fall. A bridge on N. 35th Rd in the Dimmick Township will be closed for repairs on Monday. That project will take a little more than a week to complete.
