A letter from Sen. Dick Durbin to Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts is being referred to the Judicial Conference Committee on Financial Disclosure. Durbin asked Roberts to investigate reports that Justice Clarence Thomas failed to report lavish gifts and luxury travel, given by a wealthy donor, for 20 years. There are also questions about Thomas selling land and not reporting it. Durbin says lower court judges have to report such things.
