Ottawa City Hall has the paperwork for the Open Space Land Acquisition and Development grant for Allen Park improvements. Commissioner Marla Pearson says the city has to approve the grant terms to get the money.
The city’s getting a $506,000 grant, which actually means the state’s paying half that much for the project. The city has to come up with the other half. Pearson says the work can be spread out over three years to be easier on the budget.
