Veterans who want to know if the PACT Act makes it easier for them to get medical care may be able to find out at an event in Ottawa this week. Representatives of the Hines Veterans Administration hospital will be at the American Legion from 10am to 2pm Thursday, April 20. They’ll explain what the law signed last year does and for whom. It makes it easier for veterans exposed to toxic burn pits, Agent Orange, and radiation to get care under the presumption that their problems came from those exposures. That means they don’t have to prove their exposure and face treatment delays while they do.
