LaSalle residents affected by the Carus chemical fire could get a town hall meeting with Carus representatives. LaSalle Mayor Jeff Grove told another large crowd at last night’s city council meeting that’s he’s meeting with Carus CEO Andy Johnston Wednesday. Grove says he’s going to ask Carus to have a town hall.
Grove says he’s excited about the meeting.
He also has some questions for Johnston. One includes why it’s taking so long for people to get their insurance claims turned in. Another is asking about health issues. Residents have been asking the city council for months to set up a meeting with Carus. The last time someone from Carus spoke in public was during the day of and the day after the fire. Residents have been going to city council meetings for the last three months asking for the city to set up a meeting.
