A fire started in a room above The New Brite Spot restaurant on E. Norris Dr. in Ottawa late last night. The Ottawa Fire Department says the fire was under control in a half hour. No injuries were reported. The Illinois State Fire Marshall is helping investigate how the fire started. It’s not known when the restaurant will reopen.
