Matt Seaton will leave his job as the Vice President for Business Services and Finances at Illinois Valley Community College. The former Streator High School superintendent took the appointment at IVCC two years ago. He was a finalist for the president’s job, which is going to Tracy Morris this summer.
The IVCC Board of Trustees Thursday night accepted his resignation. Seaton will go to work for the Illinois State Board of Education as its Chief Financial Officer. Former Seneca High School superintendent Jim Carlson has been named the interim vice president of business services and finances.
