Dayton Bridge reopened this afternoon. The bridge carrying LaSalle County Highway 18 over the Fox River closed Wednesday last week after a car fire. Two people who were in the car got out unhurt. County Highway Department Maintenance Supervisor Brian Connell said the fire damaged the concrete deck and it would take until late this week to repair it. The department announced the reopening this afternoon.
