Jurors were chosen this week for a Streator man’s trial on child porn charges, but they didn’t hear any of the case. Forty-three year old Ryan P. Cook had a medical emergency. Court records don’t say what was wrong, but he wasn’t in court Tuesday when the trial would have begun. Judge Cynthia Raccuglia declared a mistrial, thanked the jurors for their service, and dismissed them. Cook is to be in court again next month for an update hearing. He’s accused of having illegal images on multiple devices in 2021.
