There will be a Freedom Fest in Marseilles this year. The city council approved a special event permit earlier this week. It didn’t happen last year because of there wasn’t enough money for it. Another permit for Marseilles Fun Days was also approved. Freedom Fest will be held on June 17th after the Motorcycle Freedom Run. Fun Days is July 5th-9th.

The city hopes that if the Illinois Valley Cellular building is purchased, the 100-year-old city hall building and police station can be relocated.
