The state is giving LaSalle County $261,000 in grants for court and circuit clerk’s office improvements. Trial Court Administrator Lori Wakeman says $137,000 will go into electronics for the courtrooms.
Another chunk of the money will let Circuit Clerk Greg Vaccaro’s office lease a server that works over the internet. When power outages and power surges happen at the downtown Ottawa courthouse, the county’s own servers are often damaged. So leasing an online server could be a money saver.
And lawyers and litigants will be able to use an app to track court cases, pay fees, and more.
