The Illinois Department of Corrections is hiring. The department is hosting an event in Ottawa next Thursday from ten to noon at the Illinois Department of Employment Security Office on 1st Ave. on Ottawa’s south side. Anyone interested in becoming a corrections officer, nurse, warden, office associate, or social worker can attend. IDOC recruiters will be at the events to answer questions and help people apply on the spot. There are eighteen other hiring events across the state this month.
