The auditions that music students are getting when they apply for the Poco a Poco music program aren’t the kind where you have to prove how good you are to get in. Executive Director Kate Tombaugh listens to how well a student sings, has a conversation about what he or she wants to learn, and then matches the students to the right teachers. Tombaugh has been through the other kind of audition many times herself, so she knows it’s intimidating.
The Poco a Poco festival will be from June 10 to 17.
