In local sports, in high school softball action, Serena defeated Genoa-Kingston 6-3 and Seymour  10-4. In high school baseball, Serena beat Winnebago 13-3 and lost to Byron 15-3. 

>>Bulls Spoil LeBron’s Return To Lakers

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  Zach LaVine went off for a game-high 32 points as the Bulls beat the Lakers 118-108 in Los Angeles, spoiling LeBron James’ return to the lineup.  DeMar DeRozan donated 17 points and 10 assists for Chicago, which has won seven of its last nine.  The Bulls sit 10th in the Eastern Conference at 36-and-38, but are now just a half-game out of eighth and ninth.  The Bulls remain in L.A. to take on the Clippers tonight.

>>Blackhawks Collapse In Third

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Blackhawks gave up three goals in the third period during a 4-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks at United Center. Lukas Reichel made it a one-goal game with under two minutes to play, but the Canucks scored an empty-netter to seal the game.  Connor Murphy also scored for Chicago in the loss.  The Blackhawks remain in last place in the Central Division with 54 points and a 24-43-and-6 record. 

>>Cubs Blank Royals

(Mesa, AZ)  —  The Cubs surrendered just five hits during a 5-0 win over the Kansas City Royals in Spring Training yesterday.  Patrick Wisdom, Dansby Swanson, and Cody Bellinger all went deep in the victory.  Justin Steele struck out six and gave up just four hits over six scoreless innings to earn the win.  Chicago is 16-and-12 in exhibition play.  Jameson Taillon starts for the Cubs against the White Sox today.

>>White Sox Fall To Rockies

(Glendale, AZ)  —  White Sox pitchers were tagged for 12 hits during a 4-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies in Spring Training yesterday.  Lucas Giolito picked up the loss despite giving up just one run in five-and-a-third innings.  Seby Zavala hit his fifth home run of the Spring in the loss.  The Southsiders dropped to 12-and-13 in exhibition play, and they send Mike Clevinger to the mound against the Cubs today.
