How can Illinois do a better job supporting its agricultural community? St. Sen. Win Stoller hosted an Agriculture Advisory Committee meeting two weeks ago in Sterling with local farmers, farm bureau representatives, and other Ag leaders to discuss that. The Germantown Hills Republican says it’s no secret that agriculture is the backbone of the state’s economy and infuses billions of dollars into our economy each year. During the meeting, Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello gave some remarks and a legislative update. The meeting ended with a roundtable discussion where attendees discussed issues that affect them.
