In local sports, in high school softball action, Seneca defeated Gardner South Wilmington 19-0, Lasalle-Peru rolled Bloomington 17-1, and Ottawa won over Geneva 13-2. In high school baseball action Lasalle-Peru pulled out a win over Yorkville 3-1, Streator rolled Woodland/Flanagan-Cornell 14-1, Marquette fell to Coal City 3-1, and Ottawa beat Seneca 9-7.

>>Wildcats Take On Boise State

(Sacramento, CA)  —  The Northwestern Wildcats are back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in six years.  Northwestern goes up against Boise State in Sacramento tonight.  This is just the second time that the Wildcats have gone dancing in their 121-year history.  They went 1-and-1 in their only other trip in 2017.  Northwestern is a seven seed after going 21-and-11 overall and 12-and-8 in the Big Ten this season.

>>Illini Go Up Against Arkansas

(Des Moines, IA)  —  The Illinois Fighting Illini make their third-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament today.  The Illini have a First Round match-up against Arkansas at Wells Fargo Arena. The Illini have a nine-seed in the tournament after going 20-and-12 overall and 11-and-9 in Big Ten play this season.

>>Bulls Get Beat At The Buzzer

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Bulls were defeated in the final seconds of a 117-114 loss to the Sacramento Kings at United Center.  After DeMar DeRozan tied the game with a four-point play in the final 12 seconds of regulation, De’Aaron Fox knocked down a three at the buzzer to give the Kings the victory. DeRozan led the bulls with 33 points, and Zach LaVine chipped in with 25.  The Bulls are in 11th-place in the Eastern Conference at 31-and-37.  They host Minnesota tomorrow.

>>Blackhawks Visit Predators

(Nashville, TN)  —  The Blackhawks begin a five-game road trip with a contest against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena tonight.  The Blackhawks snapped a three-game losing streak by beating the Boston Bruins 6-3 on Tuesday.  Chicago remains in last-place in the Central Division with 52 points and a 23-38-and-6 record.

>>Bears Bring In QB Walker

(Lake Forest, IL)  —  Justin Fields has a new back-up quarterback.  The Chicago Bulls signed former Panther PJ Walker to a two-year contract last night.  Walker spent the last three seasons in Carolina.  Last season, he completed 59-point-four percent of his passes for 731 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in five starts. 

>>Spring Training Round Up

(Undated)  —  In Spring Training action yesterday, the Cubs and the White Sox both had their scheduled games rained out.  Today, the White Sox go up against the Cleveland Guardians, and the Cubs send Drew Smyly to the mound against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
