>>Strong Fourth Quarter Lifts Bulls Past Rockets

(Houston, TX)  —  The Bulls overcame a 13-point deficit to beat the Houston Rockets 119-111 at Toyota Center on Saturday. Zach LaVine poured in 36 points in the victory, and DeMar DeRozan chipped in with 27. Chicago is in tenth-place in the Eastern Conference at 31-and-36.  The Bulls host Sacramento on Wednesday.

>>Blackhawks Falter Late Against Lightning

(Tampa, FL)  —  The Blackhawks surrendered a pair of goals in the final minute of regulation during a 3-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena.  Taylor Raddysh scored Chicago’s only goal to tie the game at one in the final period. The Blackhawks remain in last-place in the Central Division with 50 points and a 22-38-and-6 record.  Chicago hosts Boston tomorrow night.

>>Bears Trade Number-One Pick

(Lake Forest, IL)  —  The Bears made a major trade ahead of free agency.  Chicago traded the first-overall pick to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for the ninth-overall pick, the 61st-overall pick, a first-round pick in 2024, a second-round pick in 2025, and wide receiver DJ Moore.  Moore caught 63 passes for 888 yards and seven touchdowns last season, and he has three seasons of over a thousand receiving yards.  

>>Cubs Lose To Brewers

(Mesa, AZ)  —  The Cubs lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 5-3 in Spring Training yesterday.  Ian Happ hit a home run in the losing effort.  The Cubs fell to 10-and-6 in exhibition play.  They host the Rockies tomorrow. 

>>White Sox Draw With Angels

(Glendale, AZ)  —  The White Sox played to a 1-1 tie against the Los Angeles Angels in Spring Training yesterday.  Oscar Colas went deep in the tie.  Michael Kopech tossed three scoreless innings.  The Southsiders host the Athletics tomorrow.

>>Northwestern Falls To Penn State

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Northwestern Wildcats lost to Penn State 67-65 in overtime of the Big Ten Tournament at United Center on Friday. Boo Buie led the Wildcats with 16 points in the losing effort.  Despite the loss, Northwestern earned a seven-seed in the NCAA Tournament.  The Wildcats take on Boise State in Sacramento on Thursday.

(Undated)  —  In other NCAA Tournament news, the Illinois Fighting Illini were given a nine-seed, and they’ll go up against eight-seed Arkansas on Thursday in Des Moines.  In the NIT, Bradley will take on Wisconsin in the First Round tomorrow.
