Starting Monday, The Illinois Department of Transportation will restart construction on the roundabout at the intersection of IL 178 and US 6 north of Utica. IDOT says the intersection will remain a four-way stop. Last year, temporary stoplights were placed there. The project should be done by mid-June. It will cost $2.4 million. Drivers should expect delays and should allow for extra time. The roundabout was supposed to be finished last year. It started in March.
