>>Report: Bulls G Ball Could Have Third Surgery

(Chicago, IL)  —  Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball remains nowhere close to returning to the team.  In fact, Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting the Ball could have a third surgery on his knee in the coming weeks.  Ball tore meniscus in his knee back in January of 2022.  Two surgeries later, he still hasn’t sniffed the floor for the Bulls.  If he opts for another procedure, it would be his third in 14 months.  Ball averaged 13 points and five-point-one assists with Chicago last season.  Meanwhile, the Bulls are preparing for their game against Houston tomorrow.

>>Blackhawks Visit Panthers

(Sunrise, FL)  —  The Blackhawks will try to get back in the win column when they visit the Panthers in Florida tonight.  The Blackhawks are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Red Wings on Wednesday, their fifth defeat in their last six games.  Chicago remains in last place in the Central Division with 49 points and a 22-37-and-5 record.  

>>Big Sixth Inning Leads Cubs Past Reds

(Mesa, AZ)  —  The Cubs scored six runs in the sixth inning of their 8-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds in Spring Training yesterday.  Trey Mancini, Patrick Wisdom, and Christopher Morel all went deep in the victory, but Jameson Taillon got tagged for four runs in three-and-two-thirds innings.  Chicago improved to 9-and-4 in exhibition play.

>>White Sox Fall To Colombia

(Glendale, AZ)  —  The White Sox lost to Team Colombia 5-4 in Spring Training yesterday.  Carlos Perez had two hits and an RBI in the losing effort.  The Southsiders send Lucas Giolito to the mound against Drew Smyly and the Cubs this afternoon.

>>Illinois Falls To Penn State In Big Ten Tournament

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Illinois Fighting Illini are one-and-done in the Big Ten Tournament following a 79-76 loss to Penn State at United Center yesterday.  Terrence Shannon Jr. poured in 19 points in the losing effort.  The Illini fell to 20-and-12 overall with the loss.

>>Northwestern Takes On Penn State

(Chicago, IL)  —  Number-25 Northwestern begins its quest for a Big Ten Championship with a game against Penn State in the quarterfinal at United Center tonight.  Northwestern has the number-two seed in the bracket after going 12-and-8 in Big Ten play.  The Wildcats lost to Penn State in a 68-65 overtime defeat on March 1st.

>>College Basketball Wrap-Up
