A new parking lot will be built on E. Walnut St. in Oglesby. The City Council last night approved the $59,870 bid from Universal Asphalt. There will be a somewhat U-shaped drive through the parking lot. One of the plans considered for it would have had people exiting through the alley north of Walnut St. But there are homes on the other side of the block and area residents said they didn’t want all that traffic right next to them.
