>Bulls Fall Short Against Pacers

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Bulls lost to the Indiana Pacers during a 125-122 defeat at United Center yesterday. LaVine poured in 42 points in the losing effort.  Chicago is in 12th-place in the Eastern Conference at 29-and-36.  The Bulls visit Denver on Wednesday.

>>Blackhawks Lose To Nashville

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Blackhawks are on a four-game losing streak following a 3-1 loss to Nashville at United Center on Saturday.  Seth Jones scored Chicago’s only goal in the first minute of regulation. Chicago remains in last place in the Central Division with 47 points and a 21-36-and-5 record.  Chicago hosts Ottawa tonight.

>>Clevinger Avoids Discipline From MLB

(Chicago, IL)  —  A White Sox pitcher is escaping discipline from Major League Baseball relating to a domestic violence complaint.  Mike Clevinger will avoid any fine or suspension from the league after it concluded its findings yesterday.  MLB released a statement outlining the investigation, which included “interviews of more than 15 individuals” along with “a review of thousands of electronic communication records.”  The pitcher was accused of domestic abuse by the mother of one of his children back in January.

>>Cubs Rally Past Rockies

(Scottsdale, AZ)  —  The Cubs scored three runs in the top of the ninth to beat the Colorado Rockies 6-5 in Spring Training yesterday. The Cubs are 6-and-4 in exhibition play, and they send Hayden Wesneski to the mound against the Mariners today.

>>Illinois Falls To Purdue

(West Lafayette, IN)  —  The Illinois Fighting Illini ended the regular season with a 76-71 loss to number-five Purdue at Mackey Arena. Matthew Mayer led the Illini with 16 points.  Illinois ended the regular season with a 20-and-11 record overall and an 11-and-9 mark in the Big Ten.  The Illini play in the Big Ten tournament later this week.

>>Northwestern Takes Down Rutgers

(Piscataway, NJ)  —  The Northwestern Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak to beat Rutgers 65-53 at Jersey Mike’s Arena.   Brooks Barnhizer had 16 points and ten boards off the bench to lead Northwestern.  The Wildcats went 21-and-10 overall and 12-and-8 in the Big Ten this season.  Northwestern plays in the Big Ten tournament later this week.

>>Notre Dame Gets Crushed By Clemson

(Clemson, SC)  —  A slow start doomed Notre Dame during an 87-64 loss to Clemson at Littlejohn Coliseum on Saturday.   Ryan Cormac led Notre Dame with 19 points.  The Irish finish the regular season at 11-and-20 overall and 3-and-17 in the ACC.  Notre Dame takes on Virginia Tech in the first round of the ACC tournament tomorrow night.

>>College Basketball Wrap-Up

(Undated)  —  In other college hoops action over the weekend, Northern Illinois beat Eastern Michigan 85-66 on Friday.  On Saturday, DePaul lost to number-23 Creighton 84-70. In the MVC Tournament, Bradley beat Indiana State 71-70 in the semi-final on Saturday, but lost to Drake 77-51 in the championship yesterday.
