A company’s $80 million project northwest of Peru is one reason the state ranks second across the country for corporate investment, according to the governor’s office. GAF Commercial Roofing is building an insulation manufacturing facility at a 100-acre spot on Plank Rd. in Bureau County. It will employ 70 people when production starts. That’s scheduled for next year. Gov. Pritzker’s office says Site Selection Magazine counted 487 projects in Illinois last year. The magazine previously ranked Illinois third in corporate investments.
