In Local Sports, in boys high school hoops action, tonight Princeton will take on Taylor Ridge (Rockridge) with a spot into the Elite Eight on the line. Serena will take on Chicago St. Francis de Sales in the Sectional Championship.

>>Third Period Collapse Dooms Blackhawks

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Blackhawks surrendered three third-period goals during a 5-2 loss to the Dallas Stars at United Center. Chicago remains in last-place in the Central Division with 47 points and a 21-35-and-5 record.  The Hawks host Nashville tomorrow. 

>>Bulls  Host Suns

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Bulls look to stay hot when they host the Phoenix Suns at United Center tonight.  The Bulls have won three of their last four games, including a 117-115 win over Detroit on Wednesday.  Chicago is in 11th-place in the Eastern Conference at 29-and-34. 

>>Cubs Beat A’s

(Mesa, AZ)  —  The Cubs earned a 6-1 win over the Oakland Athletics in Spring Training.  Ian Happ had two hits and an RBI in the victory, while Marcus Stroman struck out four over two-and-a-third scoreless innings.  Chicago improved to 3-and-4 in exhibition play.  The Cubs take on the Padres tonight.

>>White Sox Take Down Rockies

(Scottsdale, AZ)  —  The White Sox scored two runs in the top of the eighth to beat the Colorado Rockies 6-4 in Spring Training.  Lance Lynn got a no-decision after giving up four runs in three innings.  The Southsiders are now 3-and-3 in exhibition play, and they send Dylan Cease to the mound against the Reds today.

>>Illinois Takes Down Michigan

(Champaign, IL)  —  The Illinois Fighting Illini put on a show in their final home game of the season.  The Illini beat Michigan 91-87 in double overtime at State Farm Center yesterday.  Terrence Shannon Jr. hit a game-tying lay-up with 24 seconds left in the first OT, but he missed a potential game-winning free throw.  In the second overtime, Matthew Mayer knocked down a go-ahead three in the first minute to put Illinois up for good.  Mayer had 24 points in the victory.  The 20-and-10 Illini visit number-five Purdue on Sunday.

>>Northwestern Visits Rutgers

(Piscataway, NJ)  —  The Northwestern Wildcats will try to snap their three-game losing streak when they visit Rutgers in New Jersey on Sunday.  The Wildcats lost to Penn State 68-65 in the final second of regulation on Wednesday.  Northwestern is tied for second place in the Big Ten with an 11-and-8 mark in conference and a 20-and-10 record overall. 

>>Notre Dame Takes On Clemson

(Clemson, SC)  —  The Notre Dame Fighting Irish wrap up the regular season with a game against Clemson in South Carolina tomorrow.  The Irish pulled off an 88-81 upset victory over number-25 Pitt on Wednesday.  Notre Dame is in 14th-place in the ACC with a 3-and-16 conference record and an 11-and-19 mark overall.

>>College Basketball Roundup

(Undated)  —  In other college hoops action yesterday, Illinois State fell to Northern Iowa 75-62.  Today, Bradley takes on Northern Iowa, and Northern Illinois plays against Eastern Michigan.  Tomorrow, DePaul hosts number-23 Creighton.
