People who live near Carus Chemical and customers waiting on orders from the LaSalle production site may be interested in a new web page. Carus LLC has put a “frequently asked questions” list on its website.
It reiterates that Illinois Environmental Protection Agency tests have found no air or water contamination since the January 11 fire and says things are safe for pets and wildlife. There’s an answer for customers waiting on orders because some production is still down. Carus isn’t making potassium permanganate and sodium permanganate until it can repair the production line.
